My Name
What does your name mean? My name is Anika, which has multiple different meanings across many languages. In Sanskrit, Anika translates to brilliance, sweet-face (?), edge, splendour and/or collection. It is also another name from the Hindu Mother Goddess, Durga. The name Anika is a common name in Scandinavia (typically spelled Annika). In both Latin and Hebrew, Anika means grace or favour. I am not too sure about this, but apparently in Japanese, Anika is a apricot from Nara(?) Who named you? My parents. My name was originally meant to be Prianka, but my mom decided to change it to Anika last moment. Heritage? None. Any special stories? The main intended meaning of my name is after goddess Durga, because I was born slightly after Durga Puja.
